Technical Architect

Function:

As a Technical Architect in our Design team, you will be instrumental in the real estate development business, with a focus on Boutique Hospitality Assets. Your primary responsibility will be producing design documentation in AutoCAD and Revit for tender and construction packages. Collaborating closely with the Technical Lead, you’ll bring your expertise in technical design and material systems to ensure constructability and high-quality project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the technical and delivery stages of high-end hospitality projects, covering both Architecture and Interiors.
  • Preparing and refining 3D models and technical drawings for clear communication with manufacturers and external consultants.
  • Simplifying and rationalizing geometries while preserving the original design intent.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on team drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Developing detailed technical construction documents and material specifications.
  • Managing junior team members within a small, collaborative project team.
  • Reporting directly to Project Leads to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.

Profile:

We are seeking a qualified Architectural Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in bespoke high-end properties and hospitality projects. You should have a solid track record in detailed design, technical design, and project delivery, with a comprehensive understanding of RIBA stages.

Your qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, demonstrated through a well-presented portfolio of independent work.
  • A strong technical mind with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience working in medium-sized practices specializing in bespoke projects.
  • Confidence in client and contractor interactions, and in coordinating with external consultants such as Structural and Building Services Engineers.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with Spanish being an advantage.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in hospitality design and on-site construction supervision.
  • Background in working with construction companies or contractors, specifically in producing shop and fabrication drawings.
